After such a slow, lazy start to July, we are off and running. Literally and figuratively speaking. Last night we got home so very late. Went to dinner at the house of some friends of my husband's. Played golf. Turns out I'm not so good at golf the card game either (I found out I should give up the real golf years ago after one visit to the golf course). It was a nice evening of sharing. We were up early this am because Phillip and Corrie and the girls were coming to breakfast. When you try to jam pack your summer days, sometimes it has to be a breakfast date. So that worked. It was nice to connect with our dear friends. And I got to cook a big breakfast.
After P&C left, Grant and I threw together a lunch and headed out on a Tuesday adventure. So many beautiful spots within an hour or so. We went to Trinity Lake. The lake is pretty low so we never ventured down to the murky edge. But we did stop along the Trinity River and enjoyed the slow, easy water and the beauty of the day. Found a good camping spot.
